Comedian Tim Hawkins to Headline 2011 Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge

ATLANTA (February 7, 2011) – Stand-up comedian Tim Hawkins will bring the funny to this year’s Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament May 1-3.   

Known for his “clean comedy with edge,” Hawkins will perform for an exclusive group of NCAA head coaches, celebrities and business partners following the Sunday night Draw Party at the annual three-day golf event hosted by the Chick-fil-A Bowl at the Reynolds Plantation resort outside Atlanta.

Hawkins joins the ranks of Kevin Pollak, Jeff Foxworthy, Collective Soul, Edwin McCain and Darius Rucker, all past performers at the Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge.

A former All-American baseball player, in 2010 the St. Louis native performed more than 120 shows in churches and theaters across 30 states. Since 2007, his music videos and stand-up clips have received more than 50,000,000 views on YouTube and Facebook, and his fourth DVD project, “Tim Hawkins Rockshow Comedy Tour,” featuring comedians John Branyan and Bob Smiley, is scheduled to be released this spring.
